Distilled Demineralized Water Testing – METS Laboratories
At METS Laboratories, we specialize in the comprehensive testing of Distilled and Demineralized (DM) water to ensure it meets stringent quality standards across industrial, pharmaceutical, food, and laboratory applications. Our advanced facilities and qualified analysts provide reliable data to support compliance, product safety, and operational efficiency.
Why Distilled Demineralized Water Testing Is Important?
Demineralized water is expected to be free of dissolved solids, ions, and contaminants. However, improper storage, material leaching, or faulty purification can compromise quality. Regular testing is vital for:
• Ensuring water purity for sensitive applications.
• Avoiding corrosion or contamination in equipment.
• Meeting regulatory requirements (e.g., pharmacopeia, ISO standards).
• Supporting quality control in manufacturing and R&D environments.
What We Test?
We assess the physical, chemical, and microbiological integrity of distilled and DM water. Our testing portfolio includes:
• Physical: pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids (TDS), turbidity, appearance
• Chemical: chloride, sulfate, nitrate, ammonium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, heavy metals (Pb, Cu, Fe, Zn, etc.)
• Organic: total organic carbon (TOC), residual disinfectants
• Microbiological: total viable count (TVC), coliforms, fungi, bacterial endotoxins (LAL Test)
• ISO 3696
• BIS IS 10500 / IS 13428 (as applicable)
• IP/BP/USP/EP/JP pharmacopeial methods
• In-house validated test methods using ICP-OES, UV-VIS, TOC analyzers, etc.
• Distilled Water (Type I, II, III)
• Deionized/Demineralized Water
• Lab-Grade Water
• Industrial-Grade Process Water

• You protect end-users from harmful contaminants.
• You demonstrate compliance with national and global regulations.
• You enhance your reputation and competitiveness in quality-driven markets.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should DM water be tested?
Frequency depends on usage and application. For critical applications (pharma/labs), daily to weekly checks are ideal; others may require monthly or quarterly testing.
Is DM water same as RO water?
No. RO (reverse osmosis) water removes a large portion of impurities, but DM water is further treated to remove nearly all ions using ion-exchange resins.
Can you test water from my plant or factory site?
Yes. We offer on-site sampling services and can guide you on proper sample collection and preservation.
Do you test as per pharmacopeial standards?
Absolutely. We follow USP, BP, EP, JP, and IP guidelines for pharmaceutical-grade water testing.
How long does testing take?
Standard turnaround is 3–5 working days. Expedited testing is available upon request.
